The Hand in Hand tapestry turned heads and scored big among alums and Friends of State at the exhibition-reception held at The Rosenfeld Gallery in Philadelphia. The collaborative team of Lanny Sommese, Penn State designer extraordinaire, and the magnificent Morrows from Langhorne Carpet, were on hand (all puns are hopefully excused) along with the inspirational Coach Patrick Chambers, and dozens of others in support of the Emergency Student Loan Fund. Fabulous Fred Maulucci (owner-operator of Framing by Walter, 2016 Walnut St., Philadelphia) served as event photog and look for his pictures in coming posts. By the way, Fred is now proudly displaying the tapestry in his Walnut Street show window (left, above) in Center City Philly. Oh, that Hand in Hand cake pictured above; it was dutifully consumed, for the cause, of course.
